Buttermilk Waffles Recipe

– 2 cups all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons baking powder – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 cups buttermilk – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

In another bowl, whisk together 2 cups of buttermilk, 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. It's okay if there are some lumps; do not overmix.

Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray or brush with melted butter.

Pour enough batter onto the hot waffle iron to cover the grids (amount will depend on your waffle iron size). Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown and crisp.
