Broccoli and Mushroom Stir-Fry

– 2 cups broccoli floret – 1 cup sliced mushrooms (any variety you like) – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 tablespoon ginger, minced – 2 tablespoons soy sauce – 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional) – 1 tablespoon sesame oil – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – Salt and pepper to taste – Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and cut the broccoli into florets. Slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic and ginger.

Blanch the Broccoli: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for about 2 minutes, until they are bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

Stir-Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add Mushrooms: Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender and slightly browned.

Add Broccoli: Add the blanched broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until they are heated through.

Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and toss everything together until evenly coated.

Season: Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve the broccoli and mushroom stir-fry hot with cooked rice or noodles.
